^ I did the sketch, line art, up until that alternate version in one (looong) sitting.
I wasn't happy with how stark the eyes were, so I edited it a bit later to fade them to strengthen the congruency of the image...Was it a good idea?
Symmetry is stupid. I wanted to fix a lot more things with this, but I felt the exponentially decreasing marginal returns long ago...

Not happy --> wings, hair, certain shading...
but I need to learn when to stop working on a single image and move on.

My idea for the drawing--he's delivering his epic speech as his rainbow sparkle wings emerge before he begins battle.
I wanted to make him look calm and angry at the same time (lol?) Like...controlled anger, or anger that has not yet been completely released.
